Charging station optimization for balanced electric car sharing

This work focuses on finding optimal locations for charging stations one-way electric car sharing programs. The relocation of vehicles by a service staff is generally required in vehicle programs order to correct imbalances the network. We seek limit need strategically locating given estimates traffic flow. A mixed-integer linear programming formulation presented with large number potential station locations. column generation approach used which finds an set continuous relaxation our problem. Results numerical experiment using real and geographic information system location data show that significantly increases balanced flow across network, while technique was found produce superior solution much shorter computation time compared solving original all possible
